Long A is the high-energy indie rock evolution of Richard Jankovich and Albert Kurniawan. Since the release of their debut LP, 2025's It’s About To Start, the duo has surpassed over 150K streams, proving that their "power duo" format resonates beyond the stage. The album is a powerhouse of collaborative indie rock, featuring a "who’s who" of alternative royalty. Standout tracks include the haunting "Dissolve" featuring Tanya Donelly (Belly, Breeders), the infectious "Extraordinary" with Ben Lee, and the Gothic Tropic-assisted "Asking For A Friend." The band enlisted both Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie, Pinegrove) and long-time collaborator Dan Long (Local Natives, Film School) for mixing. Fresh off their initial Los Angeles appearances, Long A is currently preparing for an ambitious live season which includes the inaugural SoundScape Northwest Festival in Portland, along with Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Toro Y Moi, and more. The chemistry between Jankovich and Kurniawan was forged on the road with their previous project, Big Mother Gig whose 2021 LP Gusto garnered acclaim from Stereogum, SPIN, BrooklynVegan and NPR, as well as placement on ABC's The Rookie, airplay on SiriusXM and inclusion in editorial playlists on Spotify and Apple. After a sudden lineup shift forced them to adapt to a duo format for a national tour with Black Joe Lewis, the pair realized they had stumbled into something leaner and more powerful. While Long A is a fresh entity, the duo brings decades of experience and millions of streams to the table. Jankovich (Burnside Project, Pocket) has collaborated with icons like Robyn Hitchcock, Britta Phillips, Dicky Barrett, Steve Kilbey, Of Montreal and Glen Phillips to name a few., while Kurniawan’s storied career spans the Indonesian indie scene to the legendary Omaha '00s era (members of The Faint, Get Up Kids, Bright Eyes). https://shopliftermusic-dot-yamm-track.appspot.com/2MZ3rxG8TQYVbetSmpP61LAIZ6O0k8jljGYUHQCTD-20d89n9nAG9GPtXT1jVlGhY_nKYQ6PfTPEtXFulTtCgruyYS8bAQb3n96ZarKwkg_5Keu-hPyM39PtQxQOzgMT0YFOqf_qVB4MufhrSdUtyP4AYCgM1N1pFFn26tFMH3Q6qRzTuSX6mtNIpCeHe
