SUMMARY:Cottage Grove Christmas Bird Count
DESCRIPTION:The Cottage Grove Christmas Bird Count has returned! All levels of bird enthusiasts are encouraged to take part in this wonderful opportunity to contribute to a great citizen science effort while learning bird identification from experienced birders. This event is coordinated by Coast Fork Birder\, Grace Fowler-Gore and each count section will be led by a Coast Fork Birders member. Participants will gather at 7am at the Koffee Kup\, 1241 N. Pacific Hwy. (Hwy. 99)\, Cottage Grove\, for a morning breakfast meeting to organize into teams. Birders will head into the field by 7:30am. The end of day "countdown" will take place at 4pm at El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant & Cantina\, 725 E. Gibbs Ave.\, Cottage Grove. Be sure to bring your birding gear\, weather appropriate clothing and lunch to get you through the day.
